Olivier Raymond/

Olivier Raymond/ At the age of one, Olivier was asking himself why he should try to stand up and walk. Thirty-two years later, he decided to learn tango. Through tango, he discovered contemporary dance and buto. After seven years of research in dance with many artists (Compagnie Libertango, Atsushi Takenouchi, Yuko Ota, Yoko Higashi, Yuko Kobayashi, Marcelo Sepulveda, Thibaud Le Maguer...), he discovered that it could be easier to be moved rather than to move. He danced the solo "Imago" in Lyon, Paris and Valencia. In september 2011, he improvised "Twin flowers", blindfolded in a supermarket caddie under the stare of a giant Obama portrait. Currently he collaborates with Odile Guinand, a plastician, and Teodora Tabacaru, a flutist, on the concept of "Nyama" or vital energy. A first performance was improvised in the south of France and the project will be continued in 2012. He is a yoga and gyrotonic practitioner.
